Booking terms

Last updated: 3 October 2026

These terms apply to hotel stays booked directly with Eidegrend Boutique Hotel. Please read them together with the room description, pricing information and your reservation confirmation.

1. Who you are booking with

Eidegrend Boutique Hotel is operated by Eidegrend AS, organisation number 927 534 045. Its registered business address is Holdhusvegen 517, 5640 Eikelandsosen, Norway. The hotel’s visitor address is Holdhusvegen 529, 5640 Eikelandsosen, Norway.

Contact us at post@eidegrend.no or +47 930 32 282. These terms cover hotel reservations made directly with us. Any special terms must be clearly disclosed before you complete your booking.

2. Rooms, prices and booking

Check your dates, number of guests, room type, inclusions and any extras before booking. Prices are shown in Norwegian kroner (NOK). The agreed total, including mandatory taxes and charges and any extras you choose, must be displayed before payment. Optional extras require your active selection.

You are responsible for providing accurate contact and reservation details. Please tell us if you notice an error in your confirmation. The stated room capacity must not be exceeded without a separate agreement with us.

3. Full payment and confirmation

The full agreed booking amount is payable when you book. Final reservation confirmation requires completed payment. A preliminary message about a reservation awaiting payment is not a final confirmation. Please keep your payment receipt and reservation confirmation.

If payment is interrupted or unsuccessful, check its status before trying again. Contact us if you have been charged but have not received confirmation. Payments are processed through the payment service shown at checkout.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You receive a full refund of the prepaid accommodation amount if you cancel at least 14 days before arrival. For later cancellation or failure to arrive, 100% of the agreed accommodation amount is charged. If your stay is already fully paid, this means the amount is retained, not charged a second time.

Email your cancellation to post@eidegrend.no and include your reservation number and name. You may also use a cancellation function if one is provided with your reservation confirmation. Keep a record of when you cancelled and contact us if you do not receive a reply.

An approved refund is processed without undue delay, normally to the original payment method. The time before the funds appear in your account may depend on your bank and payment provider. If you choose to check out earlier than planned, the full originally booked period remains payable. This does not limit your rights if the stay is deficient or we fail to provide what was agreed.

5. Changes to your stay

You may change your reservation dates without an amendment fee up to 14 days before arrival, subject to availability. Any price difference for the new stay must be agreed before the change is confirmed. A request is not a confirmed amendment.

The original booking and cancellation terms apply until an amendment is agreed. Cancellation terms for separately booked extras must be disclosed before those extras are booked.

6. Arrival, departure and requests

Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out is by 11:00, unless another time has been agreed. These are local hotel times, Europe/Oslo. Please contact us in advance about late arrival or a request for a different time.

Tell us about practical needs or special requests in good time. We will confirm what we can provide; a request is not guaranteed until agreed. Please avoid sending unnecessary health information or other sensitive information in open notes fields.

7. If we cannot provide your stay

If Eidegrend has to cancel or cannot provide the agreed stay, we will contact you as soon as possible. An alternative stay requires your acceptance. You will receive a refund for services we do not provide. This does not limit any other rights you have under mandatory law.

The terms agreed when you booked apply to your stay. Later website updates do not change an existing agreement without your consent.

8. Withdrawal rights, questions and complaints

Hotel accommodation booked for a specific date or period is exempt from the statutory right of withdrawal under section 22(m) of the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act. Eidegrend's cancellation policy with a deadline 14 days before arrival is a separate contractual arrangement, not a 14-day cooling-off period from the purchase date.

If something during your stay is not as agreed, please tell us as soon as possible so that we have an opportunity to put it right. Send any written complaint to post@eidegrend.no with your reservation number and a description. If we cannot resolve the matter, you can check whether mediation is available through the Norwegian Consumer Authority at www.forbrukertilsynet.no. Consumers in the EU/EEA may also contact their local European Consumer Centre.

The agreement is governed by Norwegian law. This does not remove any mandatory consumer protection or statutory right to bring a matter before a competent dispute-resolution body or court. The Norwegian and English versions are intended to convey the same information; please contact us if you notice a difference.
